LEON – In My Factory

In My Factory

In 2011 Italian producer Leon emerged as something of a new school Tech House star. His productions were released on Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records and Nick Curly’s Cecille label. In 2012 he is set to blow up with this full length album on Steve Lawler’s Viva Music. This album is not all about the dance floor, it’s a real journey of an album that takes you up, down and round around. Starting with ‘Rain In My Soul’ this would sound perfect watching a sunset in Ibiza as would ‘My Dreams’. Other chilled tracks include ‘Cause I’m Lost’ with it’s quirky electronic sounds. ‘My Breathe’ is a chunky down-tempo track with a seductive female vocal. As the tempo increases tracks like ‘Prophet Style’ which is one of my favourites from the album sit somewhere between chilled and Deep House. The title track, another favourite beautifully combine infectious percussion and dreamy atmospherics and then the rest of the tracks are more dance floor orientated, some more jacking and all excellent, making this a very strong release for Lawler’s Viva label and Leon!
